Nerf Hydra

Description

This is my modded out Big Bad Bow, that I've dubbed The Hydra. As a Hydra is a mythological beast that keeps growing new heads, this thing kept getting more barrels, and I can't promise that it won't get another one in the future.

Here's what I've done with it.
The Big Bad Bow has been singled. I used CPVC to replace the original barrel to fire standard nerf darts instead of arrows. I used a piece of the original barrel as a barrel tip on the new barrel so that it still has the ability to fire arrows.

The new barrel has a breech added allowing it to load without using a ramrod or remove the barrel.

The front handle has been replaced with a nerf nitefinder which has been modified with a crayola barrel, and the front light of the nitefinder has been replaced with an integrated secret strike pocket blaster.

The front assembly was covered with foam board which was painted and sealed with acrylic gloss for a cleaner look.

The back has been modded too. There is now a Switch Shot replacing the scope, which is fired via that ring hanging next to the trigger. The Switch shot is modded with a slightly extended plunger stroke, a second spring added, and a CPVC barrel. A stock from a recon has been added and stiffened with a length of PVC pipe.

Each side of the bow has a 4 dart holder. There is now a 2 dart holder in the handle of the nitefinder as well giving me 4 initial shots and 10 backup shots.

Of course all of the guns have had airflow restrictors removed, and the whole thing is painted in red, brass, and black. Lastly I added a rifle sling.

Ranges:
BBB barrel: 100-130'
Nitefinder Barrel: 45-50'
Switch Shot Barrel: 50-55'
Pocket Blaster Barrel: 20-25' (it's intended really as a defensive shot while I'm reloading)

In theory that means shooting four guys, shooting one guy four times, or taking out one really evasive guy.
